Abstract

Gender disparities in mathematics education remain a significant concern, necessitating effective approaches to promote equity and inclusion. This systematic review investigates strategies to address the gender gap in mathematics among primary school students, focusing on interventions. The review is grounded in a framework that emphasises gender-sensitive teaching methods, teacher professional development, and parental involvement as key components of effective interventions. Results indicate that targeted interventions can significantly reduce the gap in mathematics.
